Prepare for international business, becoming versed in the language and culture of German-speaking nations while studying finance and management.
This programme consists of the major element German and the minor element Business Management. No prior knowledge of German is required.
The first year provides a broad overview of the culture and history of Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. You’ll take German language modules at the appropriate level, from total beginner to native speaker. You’ll also study the fundamentals of economics and management.
In subsequent years, you’ll deepen your knowledge with a choice of modules in German literature, film, international relations and society. Teaching of written and spoken German continues all the way through to your final year, combining practical language teaching with modules that explore the language in different contexts.
You’ll also learn about financial management, marketing, strategy and human resources, with business modules making up about one-quarter of your programme.
You’ll spend your third year studying or working in a German-speaking country, immersing yourself in its language and society.
