U.S. universities offer a variety of financial and scholarship options to international students. Financial Aid is available to international students at certain universities on a case-by-case basis. Federal financing (e.g. FAFSA) is not available to international students.

Scholarships & Grants
Scholarships and grants are available at certain universities on a case-by-case basis. This form of financing does not need to be repaid is sometimes referred to as gift aid. These include:

- Merit-based scholarships
Some universities focus purely on financial need whereas other focus on academic merit (and for some, a mixture of the two) when awarding financial aid.
